Procedure (35-45 minutes)
Teacher shows a picture of a shopping mall on the board and elicits "shopping malls" from it. Then Ss brainstorm words connected to shopping malls.
Ss take turns to ask each other the following questions. - Do you like shopping? - Are there any big shopping malls near your house? - How often do you go to a shopping mall?
Teacher drills the ordinal numbers with a focus on pronounciation.
Teacher explains the rules of bingo. Ss are going to play in pairs. Each pair will be given a bingo sheet. They fill the sheets with ordinal numbers. Then the teacher starts calling ordinal numbers. The first team that makes a T,U, or L shape calls Bingo and wins the game.
Students work in pairs. Each student gets a map of a shopping mall with different shops blanked out. Ss ask each other questions lıke: - What floor is the cinema on?
Ss match the pictures with the words in ex 1 on p 39 and check their answers in pairs. Afterwards, they hear the answers to check them again.
Ss listen to the dialogue in ex 3 on p 39 and thick the pictures from ex 1 if they hear them in the text. Then, they listen to the dialogue again and match the sentences in ex 4 to the places in ex 1. They check in pairs.
Ss get one of the dialogues in ex 4. The teacher tells each student which part to read. Then Ss read the dialogue in pairs a few times. When the teacher tells them, they switch partners and try to repeat the dialogue without reading.
