Procedure (40-49 minutes)
Teacher SHOWS PICTURES of houses from page 32-33. If possible, ELICIT THE QUESTIONS (WHERE is it? WHAT do you see? DO you like it? ) Sts WORK IN PAIRS and ASK THE QUESTIONS.
Students DO THE EXERCISE 1, CHECK IN PAIRS, teacher NOMINATES STS to answer. students LISTEN TO EXERCISE 2, CHECK IN PAIRS. teacher SHOWS THE ANSWERS on the board. students DO THE EXERCISE 3 in pairs, teacher MONITORS. Students do the reading exercise 1, teacher ASKS CCQs to check understanding.
Teacher SHOWS THE PICTURES , asks sts to DESCRIBE(is it big? is it quiet? etc) STS DO the reading exercise 2 on page 32 in pairs. Teacher SHOWS THE ANSWERS ON THE BOARD.
Sts DO THE EXERCISE 3 in pairs. If time, they check with other pairs and then teacher SHOWS THE ANSWERS ON THE BOARD. If not, teacher SHOWS THE ANSWERS when they're finished.
Sts LOOK AT THE PICTURES, work in pairs, Tell their partner WHICH HOUSE DO YOU LIKE TO GO FOR THE HOLIDAYS? Teacher MONITORS.
