The teacher shows the picture from the text on p. 26. In pairs the students answer the following questions: - How old do you think this man is? - Do you think he has a good job? - Do you think he lives with his family?
Teacher divides the students into 3 groups and hands them out 3 different parts of the text. Ss read the text and then share what happened in their part of the text. The, the teacher divides the class into new 3 groups which answer the following questions as the teacher monitors: - Is the mother happy that Andy lives with his parents? When do children leave their homes in Turkey? 3. How old are people when they get married in Turkey? 4. Do you know anyone like Andy? After a few minutes, teacher changes the groups and asks Ss to give their feedback to their new group.
