Main Aims

The main aim of this lesson is to enable students to use English effectively for communication and to enable them to learn different words for greeting and starting daily conversations.
Subsidiary Aims
-
The subsidiary aim of this lesson is listening.They will listen to different daily conversations and different responses to the question ''How are you?''.The students will also listen to different conversations which will enable them to learn different words for everyday conversations.
Procedure (45 minutes)
Asking students ''How are you?'' Modelling and drilling the answer ''Fine,thanks.And you?'' Asking some students the question ''How are you?''
Using word cards and get students to match the words on the board with their alternatives.
By using the picture and word cards that were used in the previous activity get students to answer the question ''How are you?'' with different responses
Students will listen to different daily conversations and they will be familiar with the different daily dialogues.
Students will listen to different conversations between different people and after the second listening they will fill in the blanks and compare their answers in pairs.Then they will read their answers.
A matching activity-To match the pictures with the words which are in the workbook. To get students to participate in the class and see what they have learned so far.
Students will study the assigned dialogues in pairs to act out them.
Students will act out the completion exercises in pairs to whole class.Different dialogues will be assigned to the students
