Show the the flag of china and ask "Which country does this flag belong to? " Show the student the lead-in slides and ask them to talk about the language ,culture and famous people of china.

Show them the picture of Shanghai, and ask if they would like to go there why ?why not? they need to talk about the picture and the question below it in pairs choose some students and ask them to recite their answers to the class give them the vocabulary hand out and ask them to find the proper word for the given definitions

Set the time for five minutes, ans ask the students to do part b. In this section students need to find three things in which Shanghai has changed.
