To provide review and practice of diplomatic language used instead of direct statements.

Warmer/Lead-in (10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Ask students to draw a picture on the WB of assets - elicit words like investments, shares, stocks, cash, etc. to show how a portfolio might look.

Pre-Reading (15 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible
