Procedure (75 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Ask students to draw a picture on the WB of assets - elicit words like investments, shares, stocks, cash, etc. to show how a portfolio might look.
Pre-Reading (15 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible
Ask what students would do with a gift of USD 1,000, vs USD 10,000 vs USD 10,000,000. Discuss WC
While-Reading #1 (20 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks
