Description

In this lesson, students will learn to make questions by using auxiliary verbs.Also they will have an interactive communication in pairs and as a whole class.

Main Aims

  • to develop students' skills for asking questions by using auxiliary verbs.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will introduce myself to the class and I will give them the topic what we will be doing throughout the lesson.

stage (5-8 minutes) • to activate students' schemata

* writing on the whiteboard some mixed sentences and ask the students to put them in the correct order.

Groupwork (7-10 minutes) • to give the students communication activities

Each student in a group of four will see diffferent texts.I will allow enough time for them to read and answer the questions in exercise 1.Then we will discuss it together.

Reading/Speaking (8-10 minutes) • to give the students communication activities

They will be working in pairs.Students read the text and answer the questions that follow.I will let them speak about wheather there are such social websites that they actıvely use.

Reading texts (6-10 minutes) • to activate students' schemata

I will put them in 4 groups of 4-5.I will give to each group a handout and I will ask them to read it and answer the questions in exercise 1.
