To provide review and practice of past tenses(simple,progressive and perfect) in the context of if you really want to win ,cheat
Subsidiary Aims

To provide gist and detailed reading practice using a text about famous (cheating) moments in sport in the context of if you really want to win ,cheat.
Procedure (15-30 minutes)
T. shows some pictures and asks ss to talk to his/her partner for 3 mins. about what's happening in each picture, then they have to think if there is something in common among them and finally think of more situations they can find actions like these. ICQs:-Is there one picture or more than one?(more than one) Are you going to think alone or with your partner ?(with partner) About......(miming???)(what's happening) And then find something ...PAUSE (in common among them) And one more thing you have to do is to ....(think of similar situations) For how long?(3 mins.) Going from the previous stage to this stage, T. asks ss if they can find cheating in sports. If they agree or not, T. does not confirm an answer and then gives them a text and encourages them to look at the title; it's about famous cheating moments in sports. 1-Look in 2 seconds to tell how many sports there are in the text?(3) 2-Read again and answer True or False activity - in which the ss are exposed indirectly to the TL. SS check together. WCFB
T. asks ss to correct the false sentences one by one writing them on the board. T.elicits the name, meaning, use, form, and pronunciation of each tense separately. LA is provided separately.
HO#2 Ss are asked to work alone to fill in the gaps with the correct form of the verb using the suitable tense. Peer checking. WCFB
Think of a situation or invent one in which you or you saw someone cheated. Tell what happened, was happening and how it ended. T. gives time to ss to prepare themselves and then talk to their partners. WCFB
