To provide clarification and review of phrases used for concluding successful and unsuccessful negotiations.

Warmer/Lead-in (15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Review Assessment Q3, ending with logical process of negotiation and words used from Unit 18.

Pre-Listening (15 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Unit 20 Negotiating 2 Pg 93 Vocabulary

While-Listening #1 (5 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Play 20.1 Pg 94 once, answering Q1, 1-3

While-/Listening #2 (20 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Play track several times for pairs to complete Q2. WC to confirm.

Post-Listening (10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Language Focus Students to complete Unit 20, Pg 95 individually WC to confirm
