Semi-Controlled Practice (3-4 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

The student is given a worksheet containing hypothetical situations. The student is asked to write one third conditional and one mixed conditional sentence for each situation. The fist exercise has been done as an example. The teacher helps and support the student if necessary.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The teacher asks the student to talk about the best and worst decision she has ever made. Then, she uses the third conditional or mixed conditional to make sentences about what would have happened if she had made a different decision or what would be different in his life now. The teacher gives her an example from his own personal life to demonstrate the activity.
