To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation between the SS ask and answer some questions in the past simple tense . in the context of ordinary life
Procedure (31-43 minutes)
T will ask the students a QU: what did they do on the last weekend? Elicit some answers from the students provide them with some (YES & NO) questions like: #did you play football? #did you watch movies with your friends? to encourage them to speak.
T will ask the SS to look at these question and order them in the correct order. SS check their answers in pairs after ordering the questions individually first, then check the right answers with the whole class. give them feedback.
Elicit the rule on the board SS will tell me how to make the questions by looking at exercise number 1 concentrate in the MFP M: by showing them the difference between questions in the present simple and in the past simple he lives __ does he live? he lived ___did he live? p: did you /did ju:/ form :did/didn't + subj + inf wh+did+subj+the rest of the sentence?
#SS will answer these questions about themselves by butting Tick OR Cross in front of these sentences. #then after they finish they will work in pairs ask and answer these questions with each other demonstrate by choosing one of the students to ask me one or two questions of them and answer them about my self. # Keep monitoring while they speaking to each other. #Ask some of them about an interesting fact about their partners. # provide them with feedback wich related to their pronunciation of the questions form.
T, will TELL the students you to have 2 minutes to think about your last holiday after the 2 minutes finished I will tell the SS that I want them to have a real conversation with each other asking anyone they want about his/her holiday and what did he do in it? and refer to that they should use the question form in the past simple tense. #monotoring and concentrate on their pronunciation. #ask them about some information about their partners. #provide them with feedback.
