To clarify and practice the use of Present Continious for future arrangments in the context of holidays and holiday planing
Subsidiary Aims

To provide the students with the practice of speaking for accuracy in the context of holidays and holiday planning.
Procedure (42-61 minutes)
1). I will start the lesson with asking the students what are their plans for future holidays during Bayram festival. 2) We'll discuss: Where do they want to go and why? Who is going with them?
1).The students will listen to a conversation of two friends about their future holidays' plan.2),The students will have to answer where one of the speakers is going for holiday this year, who is going with her/him? When are they living?. 3).After they finish we'll have a feedback all together,i'll elicit the grammatical structure 4). I'll write the answers on the white board,so the students will have the visual pattern of the grammatical structure.
1). I'll concept check the meaning of sentences. (Do these sentences talk about the past, future or present? Do they talk about definite arrangements or something that might happen? Has the girl from the record (Sophie) booked the holiday and the flight?2).After that i'll drill the phrase (back chaining). After i concept check the meaning and drill it i'll write down how this grammatical structure is formed (subject+be+verb+ing).3). After that i'll elicit the negative (subject+are/is+not+verb+ing) and interrogative(be+subect+verb+ing...?) form of this grammatical structure. I will drill it again.
1). The students will be given hand outs with grammar excersise. They will have to fill in gaps using new grammar.2). After we they finish, they check with their partners.
1) The vocabulary that will be needed for the productive task will be provided.2). Words winery,hot springs,whale and overnight will be presented. I'll use visual aids and concept checking questions.
2)The students will be given hand outs with a discription Day 1 of Sophie and Rob's cycling tour.2) The students will read the text.3)First i'll model than the students will write sentences about the 1st day of the tour using Present Progressive Tense for future arrangements.3) The students will check their answers in pairs. 4). After that the students will be given another hand out with two different texts, 5). First, the students will read their own texts (either Day 2 or Day 3) and then they should make questions to complete the information for Day 2 or 3. 6). The students will work in pairs. They will sit back to back and ask each other questions in order to get the information they need.7).As a follow up students can choose which of three days of the trip was the best.
