Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of clothes vocabulary in the context of Describing people

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice of clothes vocabulary in the context of Describing people

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-Teacher will draw the students' attention to the pictures of the people . -Teacher will ask the students to guess where are those people going?

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Teacher will draw the students'attention to the pictures of the people to tick the things that they are wearing or which they are carrying.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

1-Teacher will stick flash cards of the different pieces of clothes mentioned in Ex.1 on the walls of the classroom. 2-Teacher will give the students another flash cards which contain the words of the pieces of clothes. 3- Teacher will ask the students to pick one of the words and stick it to the correct picture on the wall

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Teacher will ask the students to work in pairs,one of the partner will describe one of the people in the pictures,but without saying who it is and the other partner will guess.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Teacher will ask each student to describe one of his colleague in the classroom and his partner will guess who is.
