Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T is going to display some universities' pictures and elicit the context. Where do you study English?

Pre-Reading (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T is going to elicit some vocabularies using pictures. start - look for - get - do - leave - move Ss are going to match the words HO1: - Start.. school. - Leave... your job. - Do... a computer course. - Move... to another country. - Get... married. - Look for... a new house.

While-Reading (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

T is going to ask Ss a gist task HO2 for skimming / ( Where does each person study English? 1- Isabella studies at the University of Sao Paulo. 2- Kamil studies English at school. 3- Ali studies at English language school in Cambridge/London. 4- Colette studies English online. Ss are going to answer and check in pairs.

While-Reading (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading tasks

T is going to give the Ss detail task HO3 for specific information / *Fill the gaps with Isabella, Kamil, Ali, and Colette : 1- Isabella... is going to get married next year. 2- Kamil... is going do a computer course. 3- Ali... is going to travel around the UK. 4- Colette... is going to move to Sydney 5- Kamil... is going to look for a job. 6- Ali... is going to start a new job. 7- Isabella... is going to move to Rio. Ss are going to discuss the answers and check in pairs T is going to monitor and give correction & feedback.

Post-Reading (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Ss are going to work in pairs and speak about : Where do they study English? What are they going to do after the English course? T is going to monitor, take notes for correction and feedback stage.
