Procedure (32-44 minutes)
- T will tell ss that he will show them a video about the oldest man in the world. Before he displays it, he will ask his ss to predict after they watch it 'how old is the man' and 'How he managed to live this long' - T will show a video of the oldest man in the world. -T will discuss with his ss their predictions.
-T will project few pictures of some vocab ss will deal with and he will try to elicit from ss. -Rice -Fast food -Healthy food -Exercise
-T will provide ss with a text and ss will be required to match each sub-head with the appropriate paragraph. SS will work individually and then they will peer-check each others' answers. -FB: SS will unfold the paper and check the answer keys to see if their answers were correct or not.
- T will ask ss to read the paragraph and put the highlighted adverbs of frequency in order. ss will work alone and check in pairs their answers. -FB: T will ask ss to unfold their handouts and check the answer keys.
-T will choose a sentence from the text with a specific adverb of frequency and write it on the board on the board. -T will clarify the meaning to the students using CCQs. Then, T will clarify the grammatical form of the adverb of frequency. - T will clarify the pronunciation by showing stress place and use a repetition drill to accurate.
-T will provide ss with a controlled practice. In the first activity, ss will be required to complete the sentences with an adverb of frequency. In the 2nd activity, ss will work in pairs to order the words to make sentences.
- T will provide ss with handouts and ss will be required to use one or more adverbs of frequency written in the handout and use them with different activities shown in the pictures. SS will work in pairs.
-T will ask ss to come up with 5 sentences about themselves using one or two adverbs of frequency. -T will collect the written sentences and randomly give them back to other students. - T will ask ss to guess which one of their classmates could write this sentence.
