To present a new grammatical concept "superlative adjectives" through elicitation, clarification (M/F/P), practice, and production in the context of "The World's Best Hotels".
Subsidiary Aims

To provide Ss with the opportunity to speak and write using "superlative adjectives.
Procedure (37-48 minutes)
A short video about "The World's Best Hotels", will be shown to the Ss. They are required to give as many ideas as they can about the video.
The teacher gives a hand out to Ss. After giving instructions and asking CCQs, ICQs, they are required to read a short text about 3 hotels. Then, they are asked to mark the sentences T/F based on the text they've read. Then, they will check their answers in pairs. Feedback: the teacher nominates each student to read a sentence and identify it as T/F.
The teacher will highlight and write down a "marker sentence" on the board and will focus the Ss' attention on the "marker sentence"
After highlighting the "marker sentence" on the board, the teacher will ask Ss some CCQs to check their understanding about the meaning of "superlative adjectives". Then, the form is highlighted focusing on "the + adjective +-est", and "the most + adj." Next, through drilling the teacher will focus on sentence stress.
The teacher will give instructions, check Ss' understanding by asking CCQs, ICQs and then will give handouts to the Ss. The Ss are supposed to do the task alone and then check with their partner. Feedback: The teacher nominates each student to read the correct answer.
The teacher will give instructions, ask CCQs and ICQs to check the Ss' understanding of what they are supposed to do. They will be asked to write sentences applying "superlative adjectives" to describe their classmates. Next, they will have the opportunity to talk to each other about their ideas of their classmates. Feedback: the teacher will nominate each student to read the sentence they've written down about their classmates.
The teacher will give instructions to Ss, will ask CCQs, ICQs to check their understanding. The Ss are required to do a task in which they will talk in pairs about the clues that the teacher has provided for them. Feedback: the teacher will nominate each student to express his/her own ideas about the given clues. If there will be time, the Ss will have the opportunity to do another task as well and they will receive feedback.
