Procedure (29-40 minutes)
teacher shows picture of two guys and asks: what are they doing? is it about family or business? what kind of business is it? T says to ss :imagine you opened a restaurant and you have some problems. what are those problems? discuss in your group. T asks about the problems.
T give ss a short text and there are two questions for ss to cover. T says there are two problems and two solutions read the text and find them. pair check ss come to the board and write down the answers
there are some questions related to the form and meaning of first conditional grammar in the HO .T give them some time to solve the questions. pair check. ss nominate each other to answer the questions. T extract marker sentence on the board positive and negative form and drill the sentences.
ss have a set of sentences and they have to match them at first acoording o the meaning .they should decide which result is related to which suggestion and then they have to write them in if clause.so at first they will match the sentences with their partner.they walk around and check other groups answers. T changes their partners.and ss start to write the sentences in if clause with thier new partner. pair check. ss are given the answers.
T sticks some pictures on the board . ss walk around the class and give each other suggestions with first conditional for their new restaurant. delay feedback and error correction.
if there was enough time ss are divided into two groups. one group has picture of the suggestion part and the other has picture of result part .they find their partner in the next group and start to make the sentence and say it out loud to the class.
