To provide clarification and practice of past simple regular verbs in the context of talking about the previous day activity
Subsidiary Aims

To provide a practice of writing sentences in the past simple using regular verbs in the context of activities done in the previous day
Procedure (39-50 minutes)
-Ask students: *What day is today? *What day is yesterday? -Show students pictures about three things you did yesterday along with the sentences written in papers(base form of the verb in green/ `ed` in red. -Ask students to tell you one thing they did the previous day.
-Tell the students:They will listen to Angie talking about the things she did yesterday, -Ask them what day was it? -Students will listen again and tick (draw the symbol on the board) the things Angie did yesterday.
-I am going to choose three verbs mentioned i Angie`s list and write them on the board: *Stayed (Stay+ed) *Listened (Listen+ed) *Watched (Watch+ed)

-First Part: *Ask students to write the past simple of 12 regular verbs: *The two first verbs will be done together as a demonstration and to make sure they understood the form. *ICQs ( Are we going to write the present or the past?) *Ask them to check their answers with their partners. *FB -Second Part: *I am going to pronounce each of the following verbs separately: cooked watched played listened starteds wanted *Ask the students after each verb what sound do they hear at end *Ask the students to write the verbs in exercise 1 in the right column according to the pronunciation of -ed. *ICQs *Ask them to check their answers in pairs. *FB
In this part students will play a game called "Blast the rocket". They have to find out the past of nine verbs to be able to launch the rocket. -Students will be divided into two groups, -After finishing the game students are supposed to choose four verbs from the list and write sentences using them. -Students are asked to discuss their sentences in pairs. -FB and error correction.
