Procedure (41-60 minutes)
Some personal questions about their birthday would be asked (if my partner doesn't ask similar questions of course) They circle was/ were in the text.
Concentrating on these 3 sentences, I am going to ask them to change the sentences into negative; y/n question forms. Such as: -I was born in 1984. (negative)/ (y/n) -My birthday party was interesting. (negative)/ (y/n) -There were 15 people at the party. (negative)/ (y/n)
ex. 4 is given to them. Look at ex. 3.a and highlight "was/ wasn't/ were/weren't" Do 4b in pairs. Play audio track 6.1. check answers. (Write the answers on the board/ provide a PPT) Give them the extra activity explanation page. Do ex 5. Underline the correct verbs.

Provide some papers on each a topic is written related to birthday. They are supposed to talk about their last imaginary birthday using the TL: - an interesting birthday - a lovely birthday - a strange birthday After they finish their stories, some students report their stories to class.
