Procedure (45-55 minutes)
"guess my sisters favourite place in the world" my sisters favourite place in the world is a place that likes to eat croissants, has a ...... tower that tourists love to take pictures with... get students to guess my sisters favourite place to set context in a simple and fun way.
give handouts with word of the places on the bingo cards with the pictures, scrambled up, and get students to match them up to make sure they know the words. drill words to check and correct pronunciation. check answers in pairs, then i will write the answers on the board and students will correct their answers if wrong.
worksheet page 39; q10 demonstrate how to answer with example: my favourite place is paris, paris has museums and nice cafes, so i will tick those. now you try with your favourite city. change seating arrangements q11, give example: In paris, there arent many cheap restaurants. icqs; will you write them down or talk about them with your group? will you talk about parts of the place? what it has to offer? or just tell your group the place and nothing about it?
