Tell Ss that they are going to listen to people talking about special days that they like and to match the speakers to the photos on the w/b and HO2 while listening. Play the recording 3. Tell Ss briefly about your favorite day. Ask Ss to choose their favorite days and tell each other what they do and what other people usually do on those days. Ss work in groups. Whole class feedback.

Show Ss different dates (e.g. 1 May) and read them aloud. Ss repeat. Model this for a number of dates to practise form and pronunciation. Show more dates and get Ss to produce sentences.
