Anticipated Problems & Solutions

PROBLEM: Ss might be used to their usual partners and not much speaking should be expected. SOLUTION: Change their seating position in the beginning of the class. Make sure everyone gets some one new to talk to. PROBLEM: Ss might be confused about the practices. SOLUTION: make sure that doing ICQ runs. PROBLEM: The data projector does not work or is not available. SOLUTION: Elicit what students know about travel blogs and discuss open class. PROBLEM: The Ss are of a lower level than expected and have trouble answering the reading tasks set. SOLUTION: Encourage as much peer-support as possible, monitor and help as required, really focus on justification of answers in feedback, allow longer for the tasks.
