Main Aims

To create a good rapport between the students and the teacher. In other words, for the students and teachers to get to know each other.
Subsidiary Aims

For the students to talk and interact with each other and the teacher.
Procedure (16-29 minutes)
- Play the invisible ball game.
-T introduces herself to the class. T writes her name on the board WRITE MARY! - T shows the Ss how to fold and write their names on it. T demos it herself. Ss put their names on the table.
-T draws a star on the board. Writes five facts about herself. 1- Dublin, 2- Comparative Literature, 3- 13 (Paşa's age), 4- Jane Austen, 5- Belgrade. - T tells Ss ask questions. T and Ss finish the star game. - T asks Ss to draw a star on a piece of paper and asks Ss write 5 things about themselves. T pairs the students. They have to do for at least 3 people but look at the class and then decide how to do it.
- T explains the game. First teaches the "truth" and "lie." - T says 4 sentences in total. "I am 23 years old." "I live in Istanbul." "I can speak Spanish." "I hate sushi." T asks Ss to guess which ones are true and which one is a lie. T repeats and asks Ss to write them down on the paper if they can. - T asks to do the same thing if they can and talk with their partner.
