By the end of this lesson SS will be learnt modal verbs and improve their productive skill of speaking with different activities.
Subsidiary Aims

By the end of this lesson students will be able to tell the difference between can and could and the modals will be used in related contexts of daily English.
Procedure (30-50 minutes)
T greets SS T shows slides and asks SS what's the difference between two pictures
T asks SS to listen to the context and fill the gaps SS do the activity and check with their partners T corrects if neccessary
Fill the gaps with correct forms T passes out HO'S for SS to fill the gaps T gives SS time to finish When SS finish T asks them to check with their partners SS read the right answers loud
T gives SS clear instructions about the activity T makes two groups of SS T names the groups 'Batman' and 'Superman' One students makes can/can't statements about the object on the HO eg : ''I can drink with that or I can write with that '' and SS guess until someone finds out the object'' T monitores
T gives instructions T gives the HO's and ask SS to work with their partners SS have the responsibility to practice specific words with modal verbs such as ''Could I have coca cola'' T monitors and corrects the SS if necessary.
