Students will be asked to say their ideas about the white house and to make predictions about what they will see there. Then they will be give folded handouts on which they will be asked to write /T/ if they think the statement is correct and write /F/ if they think it is not correct. This activity will be done in pairs and teacher would ask, at the end, to share their ideas with other pair.
Teacher will ask students to check their predictions they had on the paper to check if any of their prediction was not correct. They will check their answers with their partner After that teacher wants the students to unfold the papers so they have the correct answers and he asks them to work out their wrong predictions if necessary. This is just a plan B in case of extra time and is for making more speaking in the class.
Students will be asked to unfold their paper once more and on the folded part of the paper they have some questions that they are supposed to find their answers in the reading. They will be asked to check their answers with the partners of the other group.
Teacher asks students to find the name of the places in the white house and asks them what they are and he writes the words on the board. He adds some other vocabulary of the places and gets them in pair. In the new pair teacher want students to work together and ask and answer questions with is there and are there.
