Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T asks " DO YOU HAVE ONE CHAIR IN YOUR HOUSE?" If she says "NO, I DON'T HAVE ONE CHAIR.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T wites on the board "SINGULAR AND PLURAL" T wites underneath "CHAIR AND CHAIRS" and writes "s" with a red pen. TOWEL TOWELS T wites "COUCH" under singular and asks "WHAT IS THE PLURAL FORM?". T writes "STUDY" under singular and asks "WHAT IS THE PLURAL FORM?". T displays the rules. CCQ: BOOKS, IS IT ONE BOOK?(NO) TELEVISIONS, IS IT MORE THAN ONE?(YES)
