Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I show them some pictures and we review the adjectives which sts learned last session. Together we choose the correct adjectives for pictures.

Exposure (4-6 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

In pair or group, sts work on a worksheet which I will give them. They have two sentences for each picture and they have to choose the correct sentence. Then we will check the answers.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I elicit some grammar rules about adjectives with the help of sts.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I will clarify and explain more about the lesson on the board. Then I will ask some CCQ questions from sts to check their understanding.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

in pair or group, sts will do the exercises which they have in the end of their book.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Sts work on a worksheet and do some exercises related to the adjectives.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

sts are divided in pair or group. I give them some cards. On these cards there are some words which make a sentence if they put them in the correct order. obviously all sentences have adjectives and nouns and sts practice everything that they learned in action.
