To provide practice of how much? how many? in the context of rooms at home
Procedure (42-52 minutes)
Draw a house on the board elicit what it is called, elicit the word for one or two parts of the house, Ss in pairs write down as many house parts as they can in one minute.
The teacher points out some objects and asks them whether it is countable or uncountable. She then gives them clarification that how much is used for uncountable nouns and how many for countable nouns. The teacher then proceeds to elicit answers from them about 'how much? and how many?'
A reading passage with questions are shown on the board and answers are elicited.
A worksheet is given to fill in the blank space and demo is shown from the board.
The students answer the questions given according to the descriptions of rooms in their home.
