Description

In this private lesson. the student will learn about the objects of the house he will learn also about the prepositions of place. In this lesson also, the student will develop the receptive skill of listening as he will listen for a specific information. After this lesson, the student will be able to talk about house objects as well as using the preposition of place.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The T starts off the lesson by showing a picture. The T asks the S T: "Who are the people in the photo?" T: "Where are they?" T: "What are they doing?"

Pre-teaching the vocabulary (8-10 minutes) • To pre-teach the vocabulary

The T gives the S ex.1 T: "Match the words with the photos." FB = S-T [Drill]

Highlighting and clarifying (4-10 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language and clarify it

The T gives the S ex.2 T: "Match the prepositions to pictures 1-6." FB = S-T [Drill] [CCQ] The T chooses a picture then ask the s: T: "Where is the cat?"

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The T gives the S ex.3 T: "Look at the picture. Where are those things?" FB = S-T

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

Listening Task #1 (8-10 minutes) • To listen for a specific information

The T gives the S ex.5 T: "Listen and tick the things in the box in ex.3 that the family talk about." FB = S-T

Listening Task #2 (5-12 minutes) • To listen for details.
