in this lesson l want to talk about my feelings & i want to ask some questions about my feelings that related to this topic. and i want to compare should & had better to each other & talk about their differences.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

at the beginning of the class l'll pretend that l'm sick & l'll ask students to give me some advise

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

l'll read a text for student that contains some sentences with had better & asking students to discover the use of had better on that text.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

l'll clarify the different between had better & should better by giving some simple example that student have no problem to get the meaning

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

asking students some questions related to had better & should better. asking students to talk about their usage in different situations. asking students to talk about their own experiences using had better & should better.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

giving some times to students to get some sentences that contains had better & should better & compare those to each other.
