-T sets another context by telling a story about himself with lots of present simple passive sentences in it, so the Ss are aware of the target language of the lesson. -T elicits Ss to say something themselves.
-T goes back to the main topic, and gets Ss to find and underline the present passive sentences in the text. (in groups) -T takes 3 samples from the class and ask CCQs for them to check if they understand the meanings of each sentence.
-T writes up one of the extracts on the WB and ask CCQ once more as a polish for the Ss. -T erases all the verbs and the lines and lets Ss to work in pairs to see if they can write the sentence.
-T gives Ss a handout that provides model extracts from the text that includes meaning and form exercises in it, and has Ss work with a partner.(2 mins) -T gets Ss check their answers in a group discussion.(1 min) -T quickly goes over the meaning, but writes up one model sentence on the WB to work on their forms.(3 mins) -T finally marks the strong and the weak forms of the pronunciations. -T gets Ss to say the model sentences out loud to check their pronunciation and does hot error corrections.(3 mins)
-T provides Ss with 8 different ACTIVE sentences related to the text. -T gets Ss to make those sentences PASSIVE as a group activity. -T mixes up the groups and gets Ss check if they all have the same answers. -T gives the answer key for the final correction.
-T asks Ss to write a passage describing a festival that they know. (it can be from all around the world) (there must be at least 3 sentences with simple present passive) -If Ss struggle, T provides Ss with hints by writing on the WB. -The first finisher's passage is read out loud by the teacher.
