To provide clarification and controlled practice of the causative form of have or the so called have something done in the context of style.
Subsidiary Aims

To practise listening in order to be introduced to the target lesson of the cusative form of have in the context of style.
Procedure (37-49 minutes)
T shows Ss two before and after pictures of two different people. T and Ss discuss the differences between the two pictures.
T displays two before and after photos of two people Tony and Marilyn who took part in a TV programme called ten years younger. T asks students to discuss in pairs the difference between the two photos. T asks Ss to guess the age of Tony and Marilyn. Ss share their answers. T " listen to the following audio of a discussion of two friends discussing the TV programme and check your answers." Ss listen to the audio. Discussion. Feedback.
T asks Ss to make some sentences usingsome given words and phrases to describe what Tony and marilyn had done. Ss share their answers with their partners. Ss listen again to the audio and check their sentences. feedback.
T marks two sentences on WB: Tony cut his hair. Tony had his hair cut. T "work with your partner to answer the following question: who did cut tony's hair in each of the two sentences?."
