Procedure
I will ask students this question:what were you doing yesterday night? I will answer this question for me to help them to feel relax and I will gige them chance to speak freely.
I will write some students'sentences on the board about the past continuous.After that I will ask the students some questions for example:Does this sentence talj about acontinuous action at a certain time in the past? Did the action stat in the past?
I will write these two sentence on the board:Emma was watching TV when the phone rang. Yesterday morning I was enjoying the weather. And then Iwill draw a couple of time lines,one under each type of the sentence.I will ask them CCQs to check the meaning.I will elicit the form of the tense from the students and finally I model and drill pronunciation orally and individually.I will discuss with the students the uses of the tense.
I will discuss with the students ex1.firstly,I will draw students'attention to man's pictures and I willask them do you know this person? And after that I will play the record and I will play the record qgain if the students need .I will ask yhem to discuss in pairs the answers and I will check the answer as a whole class
