Description
In this lesson students will learn how to give written directions using some directions vocabulary , some places vocabulary in addition to use some conjunctions such as , firstly , secondly , then and finally . In addition , they are going to use the imperative to give those instructions .

Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
By asking students to give me directions to get to bus station from Britishey Training Center using the following sheet
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening
By using the following chart then asking students to use it in giving directions in pairs
Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
By asking students to work in pairs asking and answering questions using the following chart
Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
By asking students to complete the following sheet
Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
By asking them to write out a letter to a friend inviting him or her to visit Britishey Training Center using written directions .
