I will start a discussion with the students asking them if they read newspapers or not. I will also ask them about the topics of newspapers and I will show them a short video called The newspaper. It's about someone's opinion of the content of a newspaper. I will ask them after watching the video if they agree with her or not.

Then, I will give them the feedback. I'll use some CCQs to check their understanding of the meaning. Then, they will repeat the words after me and I will write them on the board. I will also ask the students to predict what they will read. I will use the coursebook to show them some headlines and, in pairs too, they will choose two headlines and try to guess what their articles are talking about.

I will ask the students to read the articles quickly and match them with their headlines. I will give them two minutes to do this. Then, I will ask them to check their answers in pairs, and in the end, I will check the answers with them.
