Procedure (54-72 minutes)
greeting
the teacher asks one of the students to come to the board and say the words of the previous session as dictation practice. the students check their dictations in their groups.
the teacher asks students to say what they can see in the picture. then teacher drills the pronunciation. then teacher writes on the board: meat, vegetable, drink, fruit. teacher says: is burger a fruit? is an apple a meat? then students fill the table. one member of each group comes to the board and writes the answer.
t points to the first row and says: look at these four pictures. one is different. soup is different. soup is hot. orange juice, lemonade, and ice cream are not hot. they are cold. then the teacher points to the second row and says: what are these? is burger fruit? then teacher asks students to write about the third and fourth row in their notebooks. each group checks the other group's answer.
the teacher points to the banana's picture. she says: say the words that can describe it. the teacher writes ''yellow, fruit, eat'' on the board. then the teacher says: look at the example. yellow, fruit, eat and monkey are the keywords. for each sentence find the keywords.
the teacher writes the following words: potatoes, drink, eat, make, buy, hockey, shops, like, daughter. the teacher asks students to make sentences about fries using the given words. then teacher asks student to answer the task. then the teacher explains each sentence herself.
