Procedure (33-39 minutes)
T shows picture of some food SS work in pairs: "what did you have for breakfast this morning?" SS feedback to the class: Tell me about your partner.
T shows a diagram containing 3 categories about food and asks SS to write down what they know in groups, then SS feed back to T.
T shows pic1 and elicits from SS T checks understanding of the words: Cook; Do you cook before or after the meal? Eat; Do you eat after or before you cook? Serve; Is the meal served before or after you eat? Taste; Do you taste before or after you eat? Breakfast; Do you have breakfast in the morning or in the evening? Lunch; Do you have lunch in the break or in the evening? Dinner; Do you usually have dinner with your family? Snack; Do you have snacks between meals or with lunch? Bitter; does black coffee taste bitter or salty? Salty; Do nuts taste salty or sweet? Spicy; Tarhana soup, is it spicy or bitter? Sweet; Is Baklawa salty or sweet? Fresh; Do you buy fresh or frozen vegetables? T doesn't have to use all Qs, T can choose only words causing problems to SS.
T shows a picture of a famous local food and elicits from SS the idea of Comfort Food. Do people like it and eat it a lot in Turkey? Is it a familiar meal?
