In this lesson,students will listen to a track about holidays of two people.They are expected to understand the gist and some specific informations about the trach they are going to listen.

Procedure (39-53 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Reflect the pictures of two counties which one of them is from the track they are going to listen.Ask them to think about which country they want to go on a holiday and why.

Pre-Listening (5-7 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Show the pictures of the couple on holiday in the track and ask the Ss"Who are they? Are they happy or not?Why?" Ask them to talk in pairs in 2 mins.And write the ideas on the board. CCQs:Are we working in pairs?Yes. Are we writing?No.

Listening for gist (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist listening tasks

T requests them to listen to the track and asks them to be careful about some questions. Instruction:"Listen to Mia.Does she agree with Joe about the holiday?" ICQs:Are we writing?No Check in whole class and ask them why question in terms of their answers.

While-Listening (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed listening tasks

Make them listen again and ask them to answer the questions for the detailed task in listening. "Listen to Mia again and answer the questions on the paper you have.Work in individually.Check in pairs." Reflect the answers of the questions on the board and tell them to check the answers.

Post Listening (5-7 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Reflect some questions related to the situation in the text in order to elicit the input. Instructions:Do you like holidays?-Yes What are the advantages or disadvantages of going on holiday with somebody you don't know well? Ask them to work in pairs. "Work in pairs and talk about the questions on the board.You have 5 mins.”

Productive Task (8-10 minutes) • To elicit their speaking skills in the context of holiday

Ask them to think about their last holiday and share a memory with a partner. Regroup them in order not to get them bored with same partners.Give them colourful sticks and ask them to find somebody who has the same colour in the class. Instructions:"Take a stick and find somebody who has the same colour." "Think about your last holiday and talk about what you liked or did not like about it.You have 10 minutes." ICQs;Are we working alone?No Are we writing?No Are we talking about last holiday?Yes.

Feedback and Error Correction (3-5 minutes) • To correct their mistakes and be sure that they understand the target language

Give them feedback and reflect an example holiday memory on the board and write some incorrect lexis or form or pronunciation that they have had while doing the production Task on the board and ask them to talk in pairs to find the misatakes. Instruction:"Talk in pairs what's wrong with the sentences." Correct them by guidance of the students.
