Procedure (29-45 minutes)
T will use the previous lesson about protest and demonstrations, T will show pictures to try to elicit the the three questions that they have in exercise one.
T will ask sts to do exercise number 1 in pairs, then after a minute get feedback, after that T will ask to do exercise number 2 individually for 2 min and then T will give sts time to check answers in pairs, this exercise will help to give an idea about action verbs form.
T will ask sts to do exercise number 4 after which they will have a clear idea what the lesson is about and what are its two components, so the T will try to compare state and dynamic verbs and emphasis on the difference both when it comes to forming and what they both describe. T will also try to make a link which will show that stative verbs have a connection with knowledge, emotion, and possession, moreover, T will show some verbs in which we have exception by relying on the clarification on the book, page number 72. Anticipated CCQs: Does the verb describe an action or a state? which tense is this? is it possible to use a progressive/present tense with verbs that describe states/actions?
T will ask sts to change partners in which T will try to put a good sts with a weak one and ask them to exercise number 6 together in 3 or 4 minutes. after that T will ask for feedback to check understanding and the T will do some drilling after each answer.
T will give students a H-O that contains the find someone who game and ask them to try to talk to different sts in order to practice their speaking and put what they have learned into practice.
