Procedure (22-29 minutes)
1)I will open a discussion with them about what they are going to do today after return home? I think they will answer like : i will eat, i will wash my clothes , i am going to prepare my work, i will sleep. 2)I will show them a video and ask them to predict what will happen in the next moment.
*I will ask the students to have a gist reading to the text 2)I will ask the students : "concept questions" 10Are these sentences in the future? yes 2)Does he visit this city yet? No 3)Are they talking about facts or expectations? expectations. *I will ask my students which one of these answers do you think its the right answer? (i will let them work in groups to find the right one). -you'll have a wonderful time. *I will ask them to answer the activity below by making a matching exercise. 1-h) You will not be able to find a hotel. - things you plan to do. -things you expect to happen. -things you want to happen. 2)What does 'll mean in" it'll be hot" -Will there be lots of tourists? 3)There 'll be lots of tourists. -it means will not (question form) 4)What does won't mean in: (you won't see the city at its best) -its means will. if all the students match all right i won't add a feed back if i found a mistakes i will correct and add feedback.
I will give my students a choose activity to answer i will stick the the answers on the wall and ask them to find the right answer and write it in the gaps, this activity to show let them learn the difference between (going to) (will) O.K both of them express the future but each one has its own usage . ICQS: 1)How many words you are going to choose? one 2)Should you read the text first ? yes 1)............... is used to talk about the future plans that we made in the past. 2)................is used for a decision made at the moment, promises and offers. * I will stick a picture of two time lines and ask them which express going to and which express will. Then i will ask them to discuss answers in pairs then feedback.
I will draw time line on the board to express going to and write a context for example: "I am going to buy a new car " then i will ask them CCQS: 1)Are we talking about the future? yes. 2)Is this an intention , plan? yes. 3)Did i decide now or in the past? in the past. 4)Is this a definite arrangement? no *Then: i will dived the sentence into (subject+v to be+going to+v in inf+subject)and also will show them that with i/we/you/they we going to use are and with he /she will use is to show them the form. we can use it to predict about something for example "it'll be hot" , "Its going to rain". *I will draw a time line of will then ask them: 1)Are we talking about the future?yes 2)Are we decided this decision in the past? no in the present and the moment of speech. *I will write to them a sentence in the future on the board and ask them to turn it into a question i will if they answer it ok if not i will just change will first then the subject so it will be a question. for example: there will be a lot of people, will there be a lot of people? and let then say the form.
i will let them have a quick look on practice 1 then work in pairs to make more questions and answers then make a role play one pretend his is Mat and one Pretend he is a friend to him. i will ask them are you going to use these sentences only? no do you have to write more sentences and questions? yes will you work alone? no with partner. can you use one of these ideas below? yes i will let them write then speak together. If i found mistake i will correct it in a harry.
I will play the audio and let them match group A with B then i will play the other audio to let them listen to the right pronunciation .
i will ask them to talk about "money" if they have a lot of money what will they do with it? free speaking.
