Description

In this lesson,students are going to do some listening activities and grammar exercises so they can check their previous knowledge of the subject

Main Aims

  • Grammar review- object pronouns

Subsidiary Aims

  • Listening about liking/disliking dogs

Procedure

Warmer (4-6 minutes) • To understand their idea about dogs.

I have some pictures of dogs and i will put them on the board and try to elicit if they like it or dislike it.

Pre-listening #1 (3-5 minutes) • To teach them some blocking vocabulary.

Based on the listening parts i will give them some blocking words written in the examples that I write on the board.and have them to guess the meanings.

While-listening (2-4 minutes) • Doing the exercise number 2 and taking notes

I will play the tape twice so they can first listen and then do exercise number 2 and after the listening I ask them why they have given this answer.

While-listening #2 (3-5 minutes) • Checking their answers and whole class activity

I will give them the script so they can be sure of their answers.after that I ask one of the students to read it for the class.

Post-listening (5-8 minutes) • To use notes to do exercise 3

After giving them the script I ask them to be ready for a group work so they can compare their notes with the actual words and share it with their groups.

Grammar activity (8-10 minutes) • to check the learning of object pronouns

I make an example like the exercise and after that i will give them the grammar script that is in the book and things are done.

Controlled practice (5-7 minutes) • Checking the Understanding of grammar

I ask them to do the exercise and after that check it with a partner and after that WC review.

If-have-time activity (5-10 minutes) • Using the grammar

Some photos of celebrities are given to them and I ask about their opinions about them.
