Procedure (38-50 minutes)
Draw a head for hangman and 7 dashes equivalent to the number of letters in the word "teacher". Indicate it on the board, let them be curious about it and then ask them to say letters. If they guess it, don't allow them to say it, continue asking letters. Write "I'm a teacher." on the board.
First, tell Ss to match the pictures and jobs.Then, tel Ss to check it in pairs. Whole Class Feedback; Show the pictures one by one and ask Ss "What's her/his job?" Listen to the track 3.1. Drill pronunciation of all words. Write jobs on the right corner of the board, highlight the pronunciation on the board.
Show the pictures to Ss and tell them to work in pairs and ask abou and answer t the people's job in the pictures. Provide an example. Monitor and provide error correction. Write the structures on the board. Listen to the track 3.2 and drill the pronunciation of the sentences.
Show the pictures and provide one positive and one negative sentences. Write them on the board.Highlight the form. Listen to the track 3.3 and drill.
Ask them to write one negative and one positive sentences about their own job. ( I'm a teacher. I'm not a bus driver.) CCQs: Do I write one positive sentence about my own job? Yes. Do I write one negative sentence about my job? Yes. Do I write them in pairs?No. Do I write them alone? Yes. Give Ss strips of paper.Monitor to help. Collect the papers.
Tell them to go around the class and ask about each others' job.Encourage them to remember each others' job, make it clear they cannot write them down. CCQs: Will you go around the class? Yes. Why? to ask / learn about each others' job. Should you remember each others' job. Yes. Can you write them down? No.
Group Ss. Tell them you will give the sentences that they wrote before ( show them). One S takes a sentence out and reads it. The others have to decide together if it's true or not about the student who read it. Monitor and note down the errors.Write them on the board and correct them.
Taboo game In case there is extra time. Give S one picture and ask him/her and try to explain it to the class. He/she can't use the job. He/she can use body language to explain it.
