Procedure (30-45 minutes)
T projects a picture for two families in their homes. T asks Ss to work in pairs and answer these questions: which of the two houses would you prefer to live in? why? who do you live with? do you get on well? do you argue about any thing? what T gets feedback.
T gives Ss an article about comments of four teens. Ss will be asked to answer "how many of them would like to leave home?" Ss wil be asked to check their answer with their partners. WCF T gives Ss a task to read the article and answer questions in more details. Ss wil be asked to check with their partners, WCF
T gives Ss a task to look at the article and find out the highlighted phrases and answer what tense is the verb after if and what tense the other verb and are the situations imaginary or real . Ss will be asked to check the answers with their peers.
T projects slides on the board and clarify that second conditional is used to talk about things that are impossible to happen or unlikely to happen.(imaginary). T uses CCQs to make sure Ss understand the meaning. then models the pronunciation and drills it and asks Ss to repeat after him. T clarify form of the if clause and the main clause.
T asks Ss to match sentences 1-8 to sentences a-h. Ss will be asked to check with their partners T gives WCF
T gives Ss a task to ask and answer with their partners to practice the target language, T monitors the activity.
