To get clarification and production of third person singular forms in simple present in the context conversations of family or commonly known people.
Subsidiary Aims

Being able to recognize those forms in an approach combining all skills, especially speaking.
Procedure (39-48 minutes)
Show pictures of four comic heroes. Ask about them. Write waht they do in general on the W/B. Give one picture of them to be attached on the collar of each student. Every student shall tell what the hero does generally to at least one student and listen to the three others. Make a model with one student.
Write all the verbs of TL on the W/B. Ask students what they mean. Ask if there is any they don't know the meaning. If any, clarify. Tell them what your daughter/cat/son/mother does generally using 5 or 6 of them. Show each of the verbs while using them. Tell them [Choose one person from your family and tell your partner what she or he does typically during a day using 5 or 6 of these verbs.] Model with one student in front of the W/B having her show the verbs she uses.
Give the verbs table. Before giving, ask what their partners did. Elicit in which form they used these verbs Tell them they are going to write them on the table on the HO. Give 2-3 minutes. Have FB on the W/B next to the verbs. (Please see Board Plans).
Drill the forms on the W/B together. Give phonemic detail. Ask how /s/ ending differs from /ız/. Play the recording 4.3 for detail listening and have them repeat during the play. Drill only the verbs with -/ız/ ending on the w/b.
Give them the Rules Table. Before giving, explain on the W/B what is required and have some FB from the open class. Tell Ss. to look at their Verbs Table HO and complete the task. Have the FB on the columns on W/B from Ss.
Show students what they thought on verbs as 'watch', 'live' in the task about their family members. Have some tell their sentences. Let them write theirs below the verbs. Drill and ask about linking. Drill the spot and back-chain together. Show that there is Consonant and a Vowel at the linking on the w/b. Optional: Ss. tell their partner their linking sentences and hear their peers'.
Tell Ss. they are going to listen a recording, but only for the linking and try to hear the linking places and repeat them afterwards. Give them the transcript and show them the linking on. Play it again.
Tell each Ss. to choose a person in the classroom and tell aboout him or her to their partner. Then swap. If time: give lexis on talking about a third person.
