Description
In this lesson students will recognize the difference between past simple and present perfect simple based on a listening task of people who have met celebrities. We will use guided discovery to highlight the target language. Later on We will have some activities for MFP check and lastely they will practice the TL in dialogues.

Procedure (6-9 minutes)
Lead in activity (3-5 minutes) • to set the context of meeting famous people
T asks ss to prepare their phones to do the activity. If some one Ss don't have the app pair them up. Look at the picture and choose his/her job. Plan B T stickes 5 pictures of famous people on the walls. Ss have a piece of paper and they will go around and write the famous people's jobs. Compare with a partner. Ask the Ss 'Have you ever met someone famous?'
Listening task (3-4 minutes) • to contextualize and introduce the target language.
T gives student the tapescript of the listening. Ss listen and follow the text. Then Ss answer 3 gist questions. 3 mins. Ss check answers in pairs. T elicits some answers. WCFB
Highlight the TL • to highlight the TL via guided discovery
T gives Ss instructions. look at the examples and answer the questions.
