Procedure (23-32 minutes)
lead in (2-3 minutes) • to acttivate SS existing knowledge of the topic/to generate interest in the theme/topic of the lesson
T ask SS to tell their hair colour.
prediction task (3-5 minutes) • to encourage SS to predict/ think about content of the text and give them a reason to read the text
T ask SS What is this lesson about
reading/listining for gist (3-4 minutes) • to encourage to listen/read for gist/general understanding for learners to get an overview of the text
T asks SS to listen to listening and tell their friends what is the topic
Speaking task/writing task (15-20 minutes) • to allow an opportunity to rect to the text/to develop oral/written fluency on the topic/ to provide an opportunity to personalise the topic
