Procedure (32-45 minutes)
- T displays pictures of different activities about famous places in London. T give students four questions to ask each other.. - T asks them to talk in pairs about places they have visited in London. ICQs: 1. How many questions? [six] 2. Alone or in pairs? In pairs 3. How many minutes? 3
- T shows some pictures about famous places in London - T shows students some pictures about a tour bus to elicit some words related to tour buses. - T explains the meaning and the phonology of some words and places in London. CCQs - Is it Canada? [no] - Is it London?[yes] Does a tourist office gives food? [no] Does a tourist office gives information?[yes]
T clarifies some words that will come in the dialogue. T drills some places in London T asks students to listen and fill in gaps. T ask students to act the dialogue with each other in pairs.
T shows students a picture about famous places in Istanbul. T asks students in groups to write ten names of places in Istanbul they like most. T asks students to stick their answers on the board under the names of their groups. T asks each group to go and see the writings of the other groups. T asks students to write five sentences sentences about Istanbul in groups. T asks students to make up a conversation about Istanbul like the conversation about London.
