Procedure (47-60 minutes)
Show ss the picture of a clothes shop and ask them where do they like to go for shopping?
Give ss the scrambled dialogue H/O and, in pairs, ask them to decide which sentences were said by the customer and which sentences were said by the shop assistant. O/C feedback. Ask ss to put the whole dialogue in the correct order. Ss listen to the recording of the conversation and check their answers. O/C feedback.
Each ss is given a set of pictures of different clothing items. Shout the name of the item and ask the ss to show its picture. Drill and show the form of each clothing item using the OHP. Use CCQs whenever needed. Get ss to describe a few pictures using "He is wearing ...", "He is putting his ... on", "He is taking his ... off".
Give ss clear instructions for the controlled practice task and give H/O. Demo if necessary. Peer check. O/C feedback.
Ss will be given a skeleton dialogue. In pairs, ss practise the dialogue relying on the skeleton dialogue and the dialogue they had re-ordered in the beginning of the lesson. O/C feedback (delayed error correction if possible).
