Procedure (37-33 minutes)
T puts pictures of different international meals on one table and the names of the country related to each meal on another table, then ask SS to try to match each meal with the appropriate country. T O/C feedback and ask SS to talk about food that comes from their country and food from other countries and whether it's popular in Tunisia or not.
T shows a picture of a full table and another picture which the table is almost empty to elicit the word: 'course', noun(food), /kɔːs/ then T chicks the ss understanding by showing other picture and ask; how many courses there are? T then goes through book's pictures to elicit other words like: 'transport', verb, /ˈtræn.spɔːt/ 'pick up', phrasal verb, /pɪk/ 'sausage', noun, /ˈsɒs.ɪdʒ/
T displays 3 different titles and asks SS to read fast only to take general ideas about the text and to put the best question title for each paragraph. T gives only 90 seconds for reading then ss will be asked to pair check their answers. T gives answers.
T provides SS with a list of comprehension questions to complete after reading the text for the second time. T sets 3.5 minutes for answering. T provides SS with a handout to write the answer on, T gives one minute for pair checking, then T asks SS to stand up and correct each other's answering. T checks answer with students.
T gives SS handout. T explain what is the aim of this stage (to practise what students have learned) and start demo the first example. T needs to revise the question form while demoing. T asks them to complete the questions so in groups they can use them to ask each other. T gives the answer key, and ask SS to start asking each other after dividing them into two groups. T closes the section with feedback.
