Pre-teach: change: / ʧeɪnʤ / (elicit from ss) stallholder: / stɔːlˈhəʊldə / (show picture) trainers: /ˈtreɪnəz / (show picture)
Give ss instructions for the listening task then give them the listening H/O. Play the tape. Peer check. O/C feedback.
Use two examples from the listening dialogue to draw ss' attention to TL. Clarify meaning, form and pronunciation.
Give ss clear instructions for the controlled practice task then give them the H/O. Peer check. O/C feedback. (If ss finish the task too fast, give them the second H/O for a more challenging controlled practice).
For the speaking activity, the ss will be given a jumbled dialogue skeleton that they will have to re-order in pairs. Once done, ss will be asked to make a shopping list. Ss practise the dialogue (still in pairs) using their shopping list and the dialogue skeleton to help them. O/C feedback (delayed error correction if possible).
